The Doctoral School of the Latvian Academy of Culture is a structural unit of the LAC, established on July 1, 2024, providing research and study opportunities at the doctoral level, fostering interdisciplinary and international collaboration.
The LAC Doctoral School plans, manages, and oversees the doctoral study process, as well as the implementation of the promotion process, the creation and defense of original creative works, and their related theoretical research.
The Doctoral School Council is a collegial institution of the Academy that addresses matters related to doctoral studies at the LAC. The Council includes members of the Academy’s staff who hold a Doctor of Science or a Professional Doctorate in Arts.
