On September 16, from 16.00 to 18.00, at the Latvian Academy of Culture (LAC) Gara māja (Miera Street 58a, Riga), researchers from Kharkiv State Academy of Culture Yuliia Kovalenko, Yuliia Litynska, and Natalia Korzhyk will host a lecture titled “Teaching, Research, and Resilience: Ukrainian Academia in Wartime”.
The researchers will share their experiences of teaching and research in the current war conditions in Ukraine. During the lecture, they will introduce their institution and international cooperation, including a joint project with the LAC "War Through the Lens of New Media: Documentation Methods and Challenges in the Post-Digital Era".
The lecture will examine how war has changed academic life, creativity, and daily routines. The event will conclude with an open discussion with the audience. The lecture will be held in English.
The project “War Through the Lens of New Media: Documentation Methods and Challenges in the Post-Digital Era " (2024–2026) is being implemented in collaboration between the Latvian Academy of Culture and the Kharkiv State Academy of Culture. Its aim is to analyze how new media tools and formats document and interpret the experience of war, as well as to explore the methodological and ethical challenges that arise in the process of such documentation. The project is conducted through Latvian-Ukrainian Joint Program of Scientific and Technological Cooperation.
