On 19–20 May, the first in-person meeting of the SPACE Centre initiative, led by the Latvian Academy of Culture (LAC), took place in preparation for the upcoming Kaleidoscope Culture Festival. The meeting was held at the Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt in Germany, which will also host the festival from October 22 to 24. This year’s theme: “The Voices of Europe Today”.

On 28 February, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Creative Industries Representation of the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia, a meeting took place to discuss the development of the cultural and creative industries in Europe.

On 20 January 2025 at 4:00 PM, the Societal Partnerships and Cultural Engagement Centre (SPACE Centre) will mark its official opening at the Latvian Academy of Culture’s “Gara māja” at Miera Street 58a, Riga. The event highlights a pivotal point in a four-year collaboration under the European university alliance ACE2-EU (Applied, Connected, Entrepreneurial and Engaged – European University), with LAC working together with eight European universities to address future challenges in higher education.
