Biography

Elīna Veinberga obtained a doctoral degree from the Latvian Academy of Culture, graduating from the doctoral study program “Arts” in the sub-sector of the Theory of Culture (2013). E. Veinberga has completed her Master’s studies in English linguistics at the University of Latvia (2004). She has been working at the Latvian Academy of Culture since 2004.

E. Veinberga’s research interests are cognitive linguistics and stylistics, linguistics, literary studies, and comparative aspects of translation. She regularly presents papers on matters of figurative language at international research conferences and publishes articles in different Latvian and foreign research journals. E. Veinberga has delivered guest lectures at foreign universities as part of Erasmus and Erasmus+ mobility.
