
ACE²-EU Virtual Coffee: Pitch Sessions for Interdisciplinary Research Collaboration
The European Universities Alliance ACE²-EU is pleased to invite researchers to participate in Virtual Coffee – Pitch Sessions, an initiative aimed at fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and cross-institutional collaboration. Join us for two dedicated online meetings on Wednesday, 2 April and 16 April at 15:00 EET, where researchers from across the alliance will present their work, exchange ideas, and explore potential research synergies.

What is the Virtual Coffee Pitch Session?
The Pitch Session is a 30-minute moderated meeting where each participating researcher will have the opportunity to:
- Deliver a 2-minute presentation highlighting their research focus, current projects, and collaboration interests
- Connect with peers from other ACE²-EU institutions
- Discover thematic overlaps and identify potential partners for joint research initiatives
This initiative is part of ACE²-EU’s broader mission to support interdisciplinary research, innovation, and academic networking across European universities.
General topics for both sessions:
- Environmental Health: Health risk assessment and toxicology in the context of emerging pollutants.
- Extreme Medicine: Human adaptation to hypoxia, hypothermia, and extreme weather conditions.
- Biomimetic Chromatography: Machine learning applications in pharmacokinetics prediction.
- Innovative Biology Education: Teaching innovations in botany and the use of didactic software.
- Construction and Climate Action: A paradigm shift—renovation over demolition.
- Institutional Trust and Governance: Administrative change and crisis management in European integration.
