Erasmus guest lecturer Prof. Stephen John Buckledee
The Latvian Academy of Culture had the pleasure of hosting the Erasmus guest lecturer Prof. Stephen John Buckledee from the University of Cagliari, Italy from September 17 till September 21. His lectures gave a good insight into the current state of the United Kingdom and changes in the multi-ethnic makeup of the population. Brexit was in the focus of attention throughout the course: its causes, developments and possible consequences, using the very latest data, which is of great value. Prof. Buckledee also paid much attention to changes in British English and the language of Brexit in particular.
