From Discussions to Solutions: The First European Universities Alliance ACE²-EU Event “ACEploration” Launched in Romania
The first European Universities Alliance ACE²-EU networking event, “ACEploration”, is taking place on March 20–21, 2025, at Constantin Brâncuși University (Universitatea „Constantin Brâncuși” din Târgu Jiu) in Romania. The event brings together representatives from nine alliance universities, fostering collaboration in education, research, innovation, and societal engagement, while strengthening international partnerships and developing joint academic initiatives.
The first day of “ACEploration” was dedicated to enhancing academic cooperation, fostering innovation in higher education, and developing joint programs. Throughout the day, alliance university representatives participated in discussions, working sessions, and experience-sharing activities.
The morning sessions focused on exploring collaborative opportunities in higher education, including joint program development, academic calendar integration, and the enhancement of pedagogical approaches. Participants were also introduced to Constantin Brâncuși University’s strategic framework and resources, providing insights into new opportunities for international cooperation.
In the afternoon, practical working sessions were held, where participants, together with industry experts, developed new educational initiatives, designed strategies for quality assurance, and assessed certification compliance with European standards.
The first day of the event marked a significant step in strengthening academic partnerships and reinforcing ACE²-EU as a platform for international collaboration. By combining theoretical discussions with practical solutions, the event lays the groundwork for long-term strategic initiatives that will drive innovation and quality in higher education.
The Latvian Academy of Culture is represented at the event by Vice-Rector for Studies Agnese Hermane, Director of the Study Department Dana Daugule, Head of the Department of Cultural Sociology and Management Ance Kristāla, Deputy Director of the Study Department for Academic Affairs Paula Tāre, and Lecturer Aija Lūse.
