H. E. Ambassador of the Republic of Ireland to Latvia Ms Eimear Friel visits the Latvian Academy of Culture
H. E. Ambassador of the Republic of Ireland to Latvia Ms Eimear Friel visited the Latvian Academy of Culture on 12.05.2022. and delivered a lecture to students to the Department of Cross-Cultural Communication on the theme “My Ireland”. It was devoted to significant aspects of Irish culture and identity, bringing out the role of tradition in Irish cultural processes, including the oral tradition of storytelling and the development and role of Irish traditional dancing.
The use of PowerPoints and short videos highlighted the essential points of the talk, which enhance the understanding and knowledge of the Republic of Ireland. It was an insightful and memorable event/experience.
