In the first week of September, welcome week for Erasmus students took place in Academy
Last week Latvian Academy of Culture welcomed the new Erasmus students. The first meeting took place at the Academy. Students had a chance to meet each other for the first time, take part in ice breaker games and get to know more about the Academy and its premises at Ludzas and Elijas Street.
On the second day Erasmus students were introduced to the Riga Old City. During the 2 hour city tour they get to know more about the history of Riga, its culture and architecture. Event continued at Riga’s most traditional bar – Folk club “Ala,” where students were able to taste the most famous Latvian dishes, such as potato pancakes with the sour cream, garlic bread, local cheese, vegetables and meat.
On the last day students saw the cultural part of Riga – the Contemporary Culture Forum “White Nights”. Through cultural activities and events new Erasmus students were able to see Latvia’s contemporary art masterpieces.
