On April 6, 2022, accreditation experts for the master's study programme “Cultural Heritage Management and Communication” visited the Latvian Academy of Culture (LAC) to evaluate the inclusion of the licensed study programme in the accredited LAC study direction “Arts”.
Evaluation of the programme was conducted by the head of the administrative department Agnese Rupenheite of The State Inspection for Heritage Protection and Ana Vivoda, associate professor at the University of Zadar (Croatia).
The experts met with the LAC Rector prof. Rūta Muktupāvela and Vice-Recto prof. Anda Laķe and Vice-Recto prof. Zane Šiliņa, head of the study programme Elīna Vikmane and other representatives from the LAC who ensure the study process for both the academic personnel and students.
The expert's visit is a crucial part of the evaluation of the study program, after which the experts prepare a report for the commission of study quality for the accreditation of the programme. A written report from the accreditation experts group is expected at the end of April.
The management of the study program highly appreciates all those involved - students, the academic staff, and colleagues for their support in ensuring the expert's visit.
The master study programme Cultural Heritage Governance and Communication was developed in the framework of the project “Development of New Study Programmes for the labour market of the cultural and creative industries sector” (No. 8.2.1.0/18/A/018).
