International Entrepreneurship Traineeship Programme Concludes at the Latvian Academy of Culture

31.03.2026

From 23 to 27 March, the Latvian Academy of Culture (LAC), together with two partner universities from the European University Alliance ACE²-EU – the Medical University of Gdańsk and the Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt – hosted an international entrepreneurship traineeship programme. Over the course of one week, students from nine universities across Europe engaged with themes of entrepreneurship and innovation. This marked a new and distinctive format of collaboration – a practice-oriented, joint study programme delivered simultaneously across three institutions.

During the week, student teams developed their creative ideas, explored innovative solutions, and engaged with contemporary approaches to entrepreneurship in an international and interdisciplinary environment. Participants also had the opportunity to explore Latvia’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, including visits to the largest start-up conference in the Baltics, TechChill, the creative quarter Lastādija, the Latvian Social Entrepreneurship Association, as well as Riga Start-up House, where teams presented their work and received feedback and recommendations from a professional jury.

At the conclusion of the programme, six innovative team projects were presented. The most promising participants will continue developing their ideas in Germany, where the first ACE²-EU Entrepreneurship Networking event will take place this May at the Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt.

Throughout the week, an atmosphere of creativity, collaboration, and bold thinking prevailed. Students demonstrated that meaningful innovation emerges through shared knowledge and teamwork. This experience strengthened their entrepreneurial competences, confidence, and international networks, laying a strong foundation for future collaboration and new initiatives within the ACE²-EU alliance.
