Latvian Academy of Culture participates in the kick-off event of the European University Alliance ACE2-EU in Spain
From 9 to 11 December, the kick-off event of the European University Alliance ACE2-EU takes place at the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria in Madrid, Spain. The Latvian Academy of Culture is represented by the Rector Dāvis Sīmanis, the Vice-Rector of Studies Agnese Hermane, and representatives of the ACE2-EU Working Group Ilona Kunda, Ieva Zemite, Ilze Beimane, Signe Bahšteina and Aija Lūse. The event officially launches the cooperation of nine leading European universities through joint initiatives in research, international mobility and education.
The event will bring together representatives of the nine project partners from Carinthia University of Applied Sciences in Austria, Kaunas University of Technology in Lithuania, Medical University of Gdansk in Poland, Santarem Polytechnic Institute in Portugal, Constantin Brancusi University in Romania, Francisco De Vitoria University in Spain, Ingolstadt Technical University in Germany and Gotse Delchev University in the Republic of Northern Macedonia.
Project participants in the event will discuss strategic issues related to the planning and implementation of the ACE2-EU Alliance among the nine universities, identify challenges that may arise in the work process and plan how to overcome them effectively. In the workshops, the representatives of the universities will work on the development of a work plan and participate in networking activities.
The next Alliance ACE2-EU event will be organised by the LAC and will take place on 20 January 2025 at the LAC Gara māja (58a Miera Street) in Latvia, where the SPACE Centre will be launched and the LAC will host the Alliance ACE2-EU representatives from the partner universities.
The project is co-financed by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia.
