Presentation of the two volume collection of research papers “Latvia and Latvians” took place on May 9 at the Hall of Coats of Arms of the Riga Castle. This two volume collection is published both in English and in Latvian. Members of the diplomatic corps, the authors and guests were addressed by the President of the Republic of Latvia Raimonds Vējonis, former President of the Republic of Latvia Vaira Vīķe-Freiberga and the Chairman of the Editorial Board Academician Jānis Stradiņš. Professors of the Academy of Culture Inga Pērkone-Redoviča, Juris Urtāns and assistant professor Juris Goldmanis are among the 49 researchers whose articles are included in the collection.
