The Article of Professor Inga Pērkone of the Latvian Academy of Culture published in the research monograph on the history and development perspectives of the cinema in post-Soviet space
Professor Inga Pērkone, head of the Department of Audiovisual Art at the Latvian Academy of Culture was one of the speakers at the international research conference "History of the National Cinematography of the USSR and Prospects for the Development of Cinema and Film Studies in the SNG, Georgia and the Baltic States" from 6 to 8 December, 2017. During the conference a collective research monograph on the history and development perspectives of the cinema in post-Soviet space was first premiered to the public under the title: История национальных кинематографий в СССР и перспективы развития кино государств-участников СНГ, стран Балтии и Грузии: Коллективная монография / Науч. ред. Н.А. Кочеляева, А.П. Николаева-Чинарова, Е.В. Пархоменко. -- М.: Академический проект, 2018, ISBN 978-5-8291-2171. The monograph also includes an article by Inga Pērkone “Latvian Cinema: Periods and Trends.” The article has been translated into Russian by the lecturer of the Latvian Academy of Culture Ēriks Bormanis. The photos used in the monograph are from the collection of the Latvian Academy of Culture Riga Film Museum.
