The latest regular issue of the journal Culture Crossroads (Vol. 31) has been published
The regular 2025 issue (Vol. 31) of the Latvian Academy of Culture’s scientific journal Culture Crossroads is particularly rich, bringing together 14 scholarly articles structured into five thematic sections:
· Contemporary artistic practices and creativity
· Cultural heritage and ethnology
· Identity construction, migration, and feminism
· Memory studies and mnemohistory
· Theatre, film, and performance studies
The authors of this volume represent research institutions not only in Latvia but also in Estonia, Finland, the Netherlands, and Portugal. The articles cover a wide spectrum of cultural and creative research – from legal aspects related to creativity and methodological challenges in migration studies to explorations of feminism and creative intermediaries in urban environments. Altogether, a broad and insightful perspective on current cultural and artistic processes both in Latvia and the international context is offered by this issue.
