15.10.2018

From October 15 until October 18, 2018, the Latvian Academy of Culture will be hosting the partner meeting of the Nordplus project SVEBINAR in Riga. Among guests will be both professors and students of Swedish language from all partner institutions. During the visit, participants will be introduced to the Latvian Academy of Culture as well as discuss the topical issues and further plans of the project.

The Nordplus project SVEBINAR was launched in October, 2017 and is scheduled to be completed in February, 2020. Among the project partners are the Latvian Academy of Culture, Dalarna University in Sweden, Oulu University of Applied Sciences and the Satakunta University of Applied Sciences in Finland. The project offers participating students of Swedish language to improve their spoken language skills online in ten webinars on various topics related to their study programmes. Webinars are supplemented by ten creative workshops, which allow students to choose topics of discussion based on their own interests. Project results, including online learning materials, will be published on Nordplus webpage.
Up until now, within the project there have been three webinars and three online creative workshops, as well as two face-to-face networking meetings in Joensuu and Pori (Finland).
