Welcome, new Erasmus students, to the Latvian Academy of Culture!
Yesterday, January 27, marked the first day of Welcome Week, where we had the pleasure of greeting our Erasmus students to the Academy. During the day, we introduced them to key information about the upcoming study semester, the Student Council, and some interesting facts about Latvia. Students also explored the Academy’s premises and participated in icebreaker games.
The first day was full of excitement, with students sharing their experiences of arriving in Riga, their goals for the semester, and their enthusiasm about this opportunity. This semester, we are proud to host 22 foreign students from 10 different countries: Italy, France, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Slovakia, Estonia, Poland, Turkey, and Kazakhstan.
The rest of the Welcome Week promises even more exciting activities. We’ll introduce students not only to the Academy but also to the city of Riga. The programme includes a tour of our Film School, a visit to the National Museum of Art, an evening of traditional Latvian dinner and folk dances at the Folkclub, a Riga city tour, a Silent Disco party, and a trip to the National Library.
