Every spring the Latvian Academy of Culture organizes the student research conference “The Art-of-Knowing”. The aim of the conference is to create strong linkage between research and artistic activities in the field of culture and arts as well as to develop students’ ability to approach the issues in these fields creatively, comprehensively and thoroughly. The conference is distinctively interdisciplinary and allows students from both the Latvian Academy of Culture and other higher education institutions of arts and humanities to present their achievements in research and artistic activities. The conference focuses on topics such as the research of cultural, artistic and literary phenomena, intercultural studies, cultural sociology studies, etc. Visitors are also given the opportunity to see the latest artistic works of students from the fields of audiovisual art, contemporary dance and theatre art.
The call for papers for the conference “The Art-of-Knowing” is usually announced at the beginning of spring and is open to all students from the Latvian Academy of Culture as well as from other higher education institutions of arts and humanities.
