Internal Research Grants
For the past eight years, the IACS has organized an annual research project competition (funding between €4,000–15,000), financed from LAC’s research base funding. The competition enables the formation of small research teams of LAC faculty, researchers, and students to develop new research ideas, conduct pilot studies, or preliminary explorations in collaboration with sector professionals.
The aims of the competition are to strengthen research at LAC, reinforce the unity of higher education and research, and enhance LAC’s competitiveness nationally and internationally in the domains of education and science.
Tasks of the competition:
- Promote the development of LAC’s priority research areas and innovative research approaches.
- Encourage student involvement in research.
- Support collaboration between faculty and students in research and the development of joint publications.
- Raise the scientific quality of bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral theses.
- Develop interdisciplinary approaches to cultural, artistic, and creative industries research.
- Address current issues in culture, arts, and creative industries, and foster the ties between research themes and the research needs of the sector.
- Promote knowledge transfer within culture, arts, and creative industries.
