The Latvian Academy of Culture, in cooperation with Dalarna University in Sweden, the University of Oulu and the Satakunta University of Applied Sciences in Finland, implementing Nordplus project SVEBINAR.
From October 2017 until February 2020, the Latvian Academy of Culture, in cooperation with Dalarna University in Sweden, the University of Oulu and the Satakunta University of Applied Sciences in Finland, are implementing Nordplus funded project SVEBINAR.
The project offers participating students of Swedish language to improve their spoken language skills online in ten webinars on various topics related to their study programmes. Webinars will be supplemented by ten creative workshops, which will allow students to choose topics of discussion based on their own interests. Professors from the partner organisations of the project will meet both online and in person to discuss different language learning methods and other aspects related to e-learning, for example, flipped classroom teaching and learning, studying Swedish in Latvia, Finland and Sweden, etc.
Project results, including online learning materials, will be published on Nordplus webpage. The Latvian Academy of Culture will host network meeting in Riga in October, 2018 with seminars on new teaching methods in language learning and e-learning.
From October 15 until October 18, 2018, the Latvian Academy of Culture will be hosting the partner meeting of the Nordplus project SVEBINAR in Riga. Among guests will be both professors and students of Swedish language from all partner institutions. During the visit, participants will be introduced to the Latvian Academy of Culture as well as discuss the topical issues and further plans of the project.
The Nordplus project SVEBINAR was launched in October, 2017 and is scheduled to be completed in February, 2020. Among the project partners are the Latvian Academy of Culture, Dalarna University in Sweden, the University of Oulu and the Satakunta University of Applied Sciences in Finland.
