Latvian Academy of Culture Hosts Delegation from Universidad Francisco de Vitoria
On 16–17 June 2026, the Latvian Academy of Culture welcomed representatives from Universidad Francisco de Vitoria (Spain) as part of the ACE²-EU European University Alliance. The visit brought together researchers, academic leaders, and international cooperation professionals to exchange experiences and explore future opportunities for collaboration in research, doctoral education, and internationalisation.
The Spanish delegation included Professor Ana Pérez Escoda and Vice-Dean Sonia Sánchez Díaz from the Faculty of Communication, Arts and Humanities. During their visit, they met with representatives of the Latvian Academy of Culture's Institute of Arts and Cultural Studies, Doctoral School, and international cooperation team. Discussions focused on strengthening research partnerships, developing joint doctoral initiatives, and sharing approaches to academic cooperation within the ACE²-EU framework. A mutual cooperation agreement in the field of doctoral studies will be signed as a result of this visit.
Throughout the two-day visit, conversations highlighted shared interests in cultural research, international academic cooperation, and the role of universities in addressing contemporary social and cultural challenges. The meetings reinforced existing connections between the institutions and opened new avenues for future collaboration across teaching, research, and mobility programmes.
