The State Research Programmes (SRP) are national-level science funding schemes implemented by ministries of the Republic of Latvia. These are ministry-commissioned studies in chosen fields (top-down), based on specific needs and funding opportunities of the line ministries. Since they address targeted needs and interests, they are primarily multi- and interdisciplinary, covering various science disciplines and sectors. 

The IACS has developed and successfully obtained several SRP projects (commissioned by the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education and Science), acting both as lead partner (in four programs) and as a consortium partner.
