Biography

Ieva Zemīte, Dr. oec., Business Administration and Management, General, is the director of the joint Master’s study program “Creative Industries and Growth Management” of the Latvian Academy of Culture and Riga Technical University.

Research interests - cultural and creative entrepreneurship, creative industries and cultural economics.

Member of the Association for Cultural Economics International (ACEI) since 2018. Representative of the Latvian Academy of Culture in the LIAA Creative Industries Business Incubator Participant Evaluation Commission, LU Student Business Incubator team growth evaluation. Member of the project Steering committee, Latvian project manager in the project “Imagining Sustainable Glass Network Europe / ISGNE” of the European Union program “Creative Europe” (2018-2022). Leader of the research project “Creative industries in small cities: potential and contributions to sustainability” / CRISP (No. lzp-2020 / 2-0375) (2020-2021). Leader of the research project Rethinking Creative Cities: Networks, Intermediaries, Development Prospects/ REPRINT (Nr. lzp-2021/1-0588) (2022-2024).

Since 2017, co-owner of the glass art studio “Glass Point” (SIA “Stikla māja”).
