Iveta Ķešāne ir Latvijas Kultūras akadēmijas asociētā profesore. Iveta ir ieguvusi bakalaura grādu kultūras socioloģijas programmā Latvijas Kultūras akadēmijā un maģistra grādu globālo studiju programmā Freiburgas Universitātē (Vācijā) un KwaZulu-Natal Universitātē (Dienvidāfrikā). Fulbright studentu programmas ietvaros, 2016. gadā Iveta ieguva doktora grādu socioloģijā Kanzasas Štata Universitātē (ASV). Ivetas pētnieciskās intereses ir saistītas ar emociju socioloģiju, kultūras socioloģiju, politikas socioloģiju, migrāciju, platformu nodarbinātību, kā arī militarizācijas kultūrsocioloģiskajiem aspektiem. Iveta ir publicējusies tādos starptautiskos zinātniskos žurnālos kā The Sociological Review, Nationalities Papers, Cultural Sociology, Social Inclusion, Emotions and Society, Sociology Compass, Emotion, Space and Society, Social Currents un Communist and Post-Communist Studies. Līdzās pētniecībai Iveta pasniedz dažādus socioloģijas teorijas kursus LKA bakalaura un maģistratūras programmās.
